Monkey puzzle tree (Araucaria araucana) is an evergreen conifer tree native to mountainous regions of South America and grown as a unique landscape specimen in selected regions around the world. It has a much different look than most conifers.

Monkey puzzle tree is a very old species that has been present on earth since the time of the dinosaurs and is sometimes called a living fossil.
